Exit Art Studio is a space for artistic research, experimentation and collective creation.
We work across film, theatre, writing and interdisciplinary practices supporting artists at different stages of their journey to develop meaningful, critical and socially engaged work.
Through workshops, long-term projects and collaborative laboratories we invite participants to explore art not only as expression but as a way of thinking, questioning, and intervening in the world.

We believe art emerges through encounter between bodies, ideas, histories and differences. Exit Art Studio is a safe and open space grounded in mutual respect where artists from diverse backgrounds are welcomed and supported. Our studio encourages work that challenges dominant narratives, explores social realities and opens new ways of seeing and feeling. Every artist deserves to feel seen, valued and encouraged regardless of experience, identity or discipline.
Projekt je osmišljen kao spoj edukacije, umjetničkog stvaranja i kulturne participacije, kroz tri stupa: Filmsku školu, Filmski klub i radionice Glume za film. Time se otvara prostor u kojem lokalna zajednica, bez obzira na dob i prethodno iskustvo, može sudjelovati u filmskoj umjetnosti – kao gledatelj, autor ili izvođač.
The project is conceived as a combination of education, artistic creation, and cultural participation, structured around three pillars: a Film School, a Film Club, and Acting for Film workshops. In this way, a space is created in which the local community, regardless of age or prior experience, can take part in film art—as viewers, creators, or performers.

Film and theatre director, writer, educator, translator and researcher with over 30 years of experience.
Shirin Mirzanejad
Project maneger with over 12 years experience in stage and screen productions, assistant directing, editorial work, writing and translation.
Our Passion
Exit Art Studio was founded on the belief that art is not a privilege but a shared human capacity.
We work with artists, writers, filmmakers and thinkers who seek depth, critical engagement and freedom in their practice. Our mentors and facilitators do not impose fixed models. Instead they accompany participants through processes of exploration, doubt and discovery.
By fostering a supportive yet challenging environment Exit Art Studio functions as a community of practice where experimentation is encouraged, failure is part of learning and artistic work is taken seriously as a form of knowledge and action.
